Nonprofit Leadership Institute
Nonprofit Leadership Institute is an eight-month leadership development program targeted to senior management of nonprofit organizations in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.
Nonprofit Leadership Institute was created in 2007 to meet a critical need for nonprofit leadership training. Confronted with tightened funding and an aging workforce, nonprofits will face a critical need for new leaders at a time when the skills and expertise required of executive directors will be more demanding than ever
Nonprofit Leadership Institute is an affordable, high-quality, comprehensive eight-month program designed to develop and enhance the skills of nonprofit leaders in the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State area.
To survive today, nonprofit leaders must master increasingly sophisticated management tools -- how to apply best practices, conduct rigorous financial reviews, and diversify their sources of revenue. The financial health and survival of their organization depends on their ability to build capacity through board education, strategic and financial planning, improved management systems, and the ability to maximize current funds.

Comments from Past NLI Graduates
“Having a job coach through the Nonprofit Leadership Institute has improved my ability to not only manage but also lead ambitious strategic initiatives. Working with a coach helped me set priorities that were necessary to grow various programs. The opportunity to be mentored by an experienced and proven leader has been a key reason for positive growth for me both professionally and personally”.
Kevin Quatman, Community Outreach and disaster Coordinator, American Red Cross, Cincinnati Area Chapter
“I’m seeing from these classes that there’s a need to run a nonprofit on a firm business setting and to have a strategic plan with a clear direction”
Betty Cookendorfer, Director of Development for the Wellness Community
“The training Friday was very timely in helping me to decide what area of the “big picture” we would focus on this year at our meeting. With a new board member coming on with HR experience, it all seemed to fit together very nicely. Thank you again, for recommending me for this training. It has been very beneficial to me personally and to the growth of our chapter.”
